Mr. Cleo Fudge, 74, of Albany, Georgia departed this life Wednesday, March 24, 2021 at The Life Care Center in Fitzgerald, Georgia. Funeral service will be March 30, 2021 at 11:00 A.M. in the Roselawn Memory Gardens Cemetery, 2120 Martin Luther King Jr. Drive Albany, Georgia 31707. Meadows Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Mr. Cleo Fudge (affectionately known as Pete) was born on February 4, 1947 in Worth County, Georgia, to the late Mr. Ted and Mrs. Ida Pearl Fudge.

At a very early age Pete gave his life to Christ and was baptized in 1958 at Friendship Baptist Church. Pete received his education from J. W. Holly High School in Sylvester, Georgia.

In 1968, he moved to Detroit, Michigan where he worked at Chrysler, one of the largest three automotive manufacturers in the United States. Pete worked at Chrysler from 1968-2004 when he retired. In 1968, Pete married Maggie Lewis and this union was blessed with two children. Pete was an avid gardener, he was known for his greens, cabbage and watermelon. Pete loved to share his garden with everyone!

Pete was a giving and helpful person to his friends and neighbors, always lending a hand to anyone who needed it. Pete was a proud member of the Motor City Van Club where he served as treasurer and planned many of their memorable events.

Preceding Pete in death were his brothers; Jake Terry, Leo Fudge and Clinton Fudge.

Pete leaves to cherish his memory, a devoted wife, Maggie Fudge; three children; Catherine Hall, Anita Fudge, and Jason (Andriane) Fudge. One Sister; Willie Bell (Hozie) Howard; One brother; Thomas Fudge, One sister-in-law; Rose Mae Fudge, three grandchildren; Jason Fudge Jr., Nyela Fudge, and Jazmin Fudge, along with a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
