Mr. Willie Jae Butler Jr, 67, a retired U.S. Navy Veteran of Albany, Georgia departed this life on Saturday, December 12, 2020 at Phoebe Putney Memorial Hospital, Albany, Georgia. Memorial services will be held on Tuesday, December 22, 2020 at 11:00 A.M. on the lawn at Meadows Funeral Home, 315 S. Madison Street, Albany, Georgia. A public viewing will be held Monday, December 21, 2020 between 11:00 A.M. - 6:00 P.M. at Meadows Funeral Home. Meadows Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
Willie Jae Butler, Jr.
was born January 25, 1953 in New
Orleans, Louisiana to Mr. Willie Jae,
Sr. and Mrs. Gloria Mae Butler.
Willie Jae was a retired Navy Veteran
who formed many friendships with his former employees
and close friends on the Marine Corps Logistic Base
of Albany, GA where he earned and received several
awards from hard work and dedication. After retiring,
he enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren,
sharing stories from his early childhood and eventful
moments he experienced during his time serving his
country and sharing funny family memories with his
wife Jackie.
Willie Jae is preceded in death by; his parents, Willie
Jae, Sr., and Gloria Mae Butler; two brothers, Rodney
and Donald Butler; granddaughter, Zeandrea Allen.
Willie Jae leaves to cherish his memory; his beloved
wife, Jacqueline Butler; two sons, David Butler and
Ozell Allen; one daughter, Audrey Allen Watson; son-
in-law, Roderick Watson; granddaughters, Alexandria,
Destiny, Ashley, and Allison; one grandson, Dreshawn
Allen; two sisters, Mrs. Linda Wilson, Mrs. Wanda
Coats; one brother, Glenn Butler; seven sister-in-laws;
three brother-in-laws; a host of other nieces, nephews,
friends, and other relatives.
