Mr. Donyale Demetrius Pratt, 31, of Albany, Georgia departed this life on Monday, November 23, 2020 at Phoebe Puntey Memorial Hospital in Albany, Georgia. Graveside services will be held on Friday, November 27, 2020 at 11:00 A.M. in the Floral Memory Gardens, 120 Old Pretoria Road, Albany, Georgia 31701. Public visitation Wednesday, November 25, 2020 from 2:00 P.M. to 6:00 P.M. Meadows Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. Donyale Demetrius Pratt, Sr. (affectionately known as Don P) was born on August 10, 1989 in Albany, Georgia to Willie Ned Pratt and Brenda Thomas. He was the youngest of his siblings but acted as the big brother at heart.

He accepted Christ at an early age and joined the New Macedonia Baptist Church and later moving his membership to Eastside Church of Christ under the leadership of Brother Jesse Jackson.

Donyale was educated in the Dougherty County School System, graduating from Monroe Comprehensive High School in 2008. He was no stranger to hard work and well known for his friendly, outgoing personality. He was employed by FedEx where he worked as a Delivery Driver for the past two years. Don P had a way of making people laugh with his funny posts and videos via FaceBook. He was also well known for his fashionable attire with the shoes to match and his favorite hobby of all was riding his beloved motorcycle. He was a member of the Free Ryders Motorcycle Club and part owner of Black Mud Inc., along with his brother, John.

Donyale was united in Holy Matrimony to Adrianna “Red” Pratt on July 17, 2020 and that union was blessed with a beautiful daughter,Ma’siah. He was a great father and provider for his own six kids as well as his nieces and nephews.

On November 23, 2020 at Phoebe Putney Memorial Hospital of Albany, Georgia, Donyale’s life book closed and the Heavenly Father called out with Melodies from Heaven, singing “Come On In My Room.” He answered the call and stepped out of his mortal body into immortality. Service well done, take your rest good and faithful servant. Donyale was preceded in death by his grandparents: Mollie M. Pratt, Trophene Pinkney, and Byrd Tripp; and a brother, Jermaine Mosely Pratt.

The legacy of Donyale Demetrius Pratt, Sr., left to cherish his memories forever includes: his parents: Willie Ned Pratt and Brenda Thomas; his wife, Adrianna “Red” Pratt; six children: Donyale Pratt, Jr., Ar’mani Hatcher, Demetria Pratt, Dylen Pratt, Daniya Pratt, Ma’siah Pratt; siblings: Tia Pratt, Kenarus Riggins, Tremaine Pratt, Laquanta Spurlin, Kourtney Buchanon, John (Michelle) Pratt; grandfather, Joseph Pratt; aunts: Josephine Hardy, Betty (Larry) Roberts, Doris Pratt, Norma “Nippy” Ford, Shirley (James) Frederick; uncles, Jonathan (Cecilia) Pratt, Julius (Ruby) Pratt; in-laws: Malissa (Damon) Hogan, Savannah (Ellis) Griffin, Kim (Justin) Peterman, Courtney Jordan; his precious nieces and nephews, and a host of cousins and friends whom all loved him dearly.

    I will love you till the end, you were the best big brother i could have ever asked for. You gave my sister life and my nieces have the perfect father. Lord knows these last couple of months you have heard me cry and not once did you turn away from me you caught every tear i had and stayed so positive for me. I will miss you so much. you will forever live on through our family and i will constantly remind the kids just how wonderful of a man you were. RIH big brother!
