Mrs. Shabrekia Bronett Spann, 35, departed this life Sunday, October 11, 2020 at Phoebe Puntey Memorial Hospital in Albany, Georgia. Graveside services will be held Saturday, October 17, 2020 at 11:00 A.M. in the St. Matthew Baptist Church Cemetery, 3290 Elmodel Highway, Newton, GA 39870. Public visitation will be held on Friday, October 16, 2020 from 8:30am to 6:00pm at Meadows Funeral Home, 315 S. Madison Street, Albany, Georgia. Meadows Funeral Home is in charge of arrangement.

A Time to be Born: Shabrekia Brown-Spann was born on June 14, 1985 to the late Joe Brown, Sr., and Maggie Brown.

A Time to Plant: She attended Dougherty County Public Schools. She graduated with the Class of 2003 from Dougherty County High School. She has several certificates and an Associate degree in Business from Albany Technical College. At an early, she gave her life to Christ and joined Greater 2nd Mt. Olive. She rededicated her life on May 27, 2020.

A Time to Laugh: The joy and pleasure of her life were her family and friends. She loved to entertain and cook, but most of all, she was a true shopper. The coupon lady had everything.

A Time to Love: On May 12, 2017, she married Courtney Spann. She gained a stepson, Camron. A Time of Peace: She departed this life on Sunday, October 11, 2020 at Phoebe Putney Memorial Hospital with her family at her bedside. She was preceded in death by her father, Joe Brown, Sr. and brother, Joe Brown, Jr.

She leaves to cherish her memories a husband, Sr. Airman Courtney Spann, Warner Robins, GA; a loving mother, Maggie Brown; a sister, Shumario Brown; a brother-in-law, Lorenza Hawkins (Carla), Hampton, VA; a stepson, Camron Spann, Albany, GA; a sister-in-law, Krissy Brown; a niece, Kristina Brown, Bronwood, GA; four nephews, Jatorrious Brown, McKenzie Childs, Jr., Mahki Childs, Mikell Childs, all of Albany, GA and a host of uncles, aunts, and cousins whom she love dearly.
