IN REMEMBERANCE

“WENDY’S SONG”

Once there was girl named Wendy who was the preacher’s one and only daughter,
She went to church and Sunday school as Rev. and Mrs. Jordan taught her;
She was always spoiled, but listened to her parents as any child should,
But after her childhood years, she blossomed into adulthood;
Shortly afterwards, she met the love of her life,
And very soon they became husband and wife;
To this union, came two each, boy and girl,
She loved them more than anything in the world;
She always wanted to look her best in tiptop perfection,
She did let down her guard, never any exceptions;
The best things in life is what she always strived,
And she thanked God each day for being alive;
By many people Wendy was often misunderstood,
But those of us who truly knew her, loved her unconditionally as we should;
She would always say what was on her mind, and never meant any harm,
One minute she would tell you off, the next minute she would turn on the charm;
She was the baby of her family, in the shadow of her two older brothers,
Their parents taught them to always love one another;
She lived her life to the fullest because it was all in her hands,
She enjoyed her life but her new joy became all her beautiful grands.
She had a strong will, but now she has lain down for an eternal sleep,
Her beautiful soul has taken flight to a better place for God to keep;
If we could sing a song for her for all her smiles and charm;
No matter what the tune, for all her precious memories it would be “Wendy’s Song”
