Mr. Rory Lamar King, Sr., 64, originally of Columbus, Georgia departed this life Tuesday, June 30, 2020 at his home in Albany, Georgia. Graveside services will be Thursday, July 9, 2020 at 1:00 P. M. in the Green Acres Cemetery, 1485 Schatulga Road, Columbus, Georgia. Meadows Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

A TIME TO BE BORN
March 16, 1956 was a blessed day when Rory Lamar King was born into the family of Woodrow Hamilton King and Ethel Scott King Amos in Columbus Georgia.

A TIME TO ACCEPT As a young man he attended Friendship Baptist Church in Columbus Ga. and accepted Christ at a young age.

A TIME TO GROW
Rory matriculated in the schools of Muscogee County graduating in 1974 from Baker High. He attended Bishop College in Dallas Texas, graduating with a B.S. degree in Computer Science. He became a member of Phi Beta Sigma in 1974. He was an active member for nearly 46 years.

A TIME TO WORK
Rory worked as a Computer System Analyst with the Marine Corp Military base in Albany , Ga. His passion was writing and recording music. You can find him on You Tube, and Amazon.

A TIME TO WED
On June 12th, 1976 he married Linda Carol Washington in San Antonio, Texas which produced two children. Athena King and Rory King Jr. And then was blessed with two grandchildren Skye Arnold and McKensey Arnold Jr.

A TIME TO DIE
On June 30, 2020 God embraced Rory................He was preceded in death by his parents. He was further blessed to have a host of in-laws, nieces and nephews, cousins and dear friends.
