Mr. Solomon Williams, 73, of Albany, Georgia departed this life Monday, June 22, 2020 at Phoebe Putney Memorial Hospital in Albany, Georgia. Graveside service will be Saturday, June 27, 2020 at 11:00 A.M. in the Floral Memory Gardens, 120 Old Pretoria Road, Albany, Georgia. Meadows Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

The life of Mr. Solomon Williams humbly began on April 28, 1947 in Calhoun, Georgia. Born to the parentage of the late Bishop J.W. and Curlie B. Williams. Solomon was the fourth born son of seven boys.

Solomon was educated in the Dougherty County School System in Albany, Georgia. Upon completing his education, there was a call to join the ranks of the United States Army where he served for two years. During active service, Solomon was deployed and fought in the Vietnam War. After completion of his military tour, Solomon was honorably discharged. Returning home to Albany, Georgia afforded Solomon to seek job opportunities and to nurture life long relationships with family and friends.

Solomon’s continuance of his relationship with God never ended from his childhood having given his hand in holy matrimony to Mary Ann who also predeceased Mr. Williams. Solomon was a vibrant man full of laughter and Love for his family and friends. He will forever be sorely missed by all who knew and loved him.

Cherishing his memories of life are his children, Two Sons: Shaco Branch (Albany, Ga) and Cortez (Karen) Waters (Atlanta, Ga). Two Daughters: LaShonda Branch (Albany, Ga) and Tesfa Hill (Atlanta, Ga). Holding a special place in his heart are his twenty grandchildren (Keyon Branch) deceased and twelve great grand children.

His sibling are as listed; Three Brothers: Bishop Jim (Susie), Williams, Isaac (Eloise) Williams and Willie C. (Jennifer) Williams all of Albany, Georgia. Solomon had three brothers to predeceased him; Benjamin (Willa Mae) Williams (Albany, Ga), Bishop Joseph (Dorotha) Williams, Jr. (Columbus, Ga) and Brother Lavon Williams (Albany, Ga). Three sisters: Josephine (Mitchell) Farrell, Delilah (Charles) Farrell and Jeraline (Rev. Clifford, Sr.) Porter all of Albany, Ga. Two Aunts: Essie McClendon (Largo, FL) and Ida Mae (Clearwater, FL) and one uncle: Jethro Clark (Vero Beach, Fl).
