MR. DERRICK J. DAVIS

DERRICK JERMAINE DAVIS was born December 13, 1974 in Union County, North Carolina to Duncan Davis Jr. and Daisy Davis. He departed his life on Friday, June 12, 2020 at Hospice of Union County, Monroe, NC.

Derrick was a loving son, loved by all. Derrick attended Anson High School where he played football, wrestling and was a member of the J.R.O.T.C.

He accepted Christ at an early age at the First Baptist Church.

He leaves to cherish his memories, his mother, Daisy Davis of the home; father, Duncan Davis Jr. (Eloise) of Lilesville, North Carolina; three brothers, Darrell Davis (Stacie) of Charlotte, North Carolina, Sean Davis (Jasmine) of Tennessee and Darius Walker of Charlotte, North Carolina. Two nephews, Dashaun Davis and Nathan Davis. Four aunts, Fannie Davis, Mary Elin (Joseph) of Wingate, North Carolina, Jeanette Fuller (Graylin) of Durham, North Carolina and Lisa Rivers (Clarence) of Peachland, North Carolina. Five uncles, Lorenza Little of Lilesville, North Carolina, Billy Little (Tracy) of Lilesville, North Carolina, Willie Davis (Deborah) of Wadesboro, North Carolina, Rev. Edward Davis (Gloria) of Matthews, North Carolina and Melvin Davis (Juanita) of Lilesville, North Carolina. A special young lady he helped raise as his own, Yekia McNair. A host of cousins and friends. Special cousins dear to his heart, Veronica H. Smith (Ernest) of Laurelton, New York.


The Homegoing Services will be on Tuesday, June 16, 2020, 12:00noon, Smith's Memorial Chapel, 604 Salisbury Street, Wadesboro, Carolina.  Interment will be at Westview Memorial Park.  

Smith's Funeral Home request that you wear your mask when entering the funeral home for the safety of the Little family, the public and our staff.  Social distancing mandates will also be in effect.  Thank you for your cooperation!
