Ms. Ariel Shacora D. Wilson, 19, of Albany, Georgia departed this life Wednesday, May 20, 2020 at Phoebe Putney Memorial Hospital in Albany, Georgia. Funeral arrangements are incomplete at this time and will be announced at a later date. Meadows Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Ariel Shacora Dene Wilson, born on July 1, 2000, to Christina Peak and Demetric Wilson, took her last breath surrounded by the people she loved the most. Ariel was born in Port St. Lucie, FL, but moved to Tallahassee, FL, at the age of 4 years old. Although she was only in Tallahassee for a short period of time, she ensured that she left her mark before finally making a home with her family in Albany, GA, at the age of 6 years old. Ariel attended West Town and Radium Springs Elementary schools before attending Robert Cross Middle School. She transferred to Albany Early College to complete her middle school years and start her high school journey. In 2018, Ariel graduated from Monroe High School alongside her best friend and sister, Branecia. Ariel would have graduated from Florida Career College in Tampa, FL, on Wednesday, May 27, 2020, with her Dental Hygienist Assistant Certificate.

Ariel had an outgoing personality and loved to take pictures every chance she got. She brightened up every room she walked into with her bubbly spirit. Before she left this earth, Ariel left the world with a little piece of Heaven. She will be deeply missed and never forgotten. She is preceded in death by her grandmother, Doris Peak and great-grandparents, Oscar and Mildred Reaves. Those left to cherish her memories, daughter: Heaven McAfee; mother: Christina Peak (Cedric); father: Demetric Wilson; grandmother: Sondra Wilson; great-grandmother: Nora Briggs; siblings: Branecia Peak, Ethan Taylor, Demetric Wilson, Jr., Rayven Wilson, Randy Wilson, Jade Gilchrist and Londyn Wilson; and a host of aunts, uncles, cousins and other grieving family and friends and many special people in her life.

A Letter from Heaven
When tomorrow starts without me
And I'm not there to see;
If the sun should rise and find your eyes
All filled with tears for me.
I wish so much you wouldn't cry
The way you did today;
While thinking of the many things
We didn't get to say.
I know how much you love me
As much as I love you;
And each time that you think of me,
I know you'll miss me too.
When tomorrow starts without me,
Don't think we're far apart
For every time you think of me,
I'm right here in your heart.
