Mattie Lee Howard, 97, passed away May 9, 2020 in Chattanooga.  Mrs. Howard is an Ordained Lady Minister and Prophetess of God. She loved to walk around the city and sight see. She enjoyed flowers, plants and gospel music.   

She was preceded in death by her parents, Miles Hollis and Mary Lee Jowers; husband, Walter Howard Sr., sister, Ollie Lampkins; granddaughter, Loretta Copeland; grandson, Broderick Howard She is survived by sons, Walter(Connie) Howard, Jr., and Willie P. Howard; daughters, Frances Howard and Marjorie Howard; nieces, Doris Davis and Jesse Anderson; nephews, John Hawkins and Alvin L. Lampkin; 24 grandchildren; 24 great grandchildren and 11 great-great grandchildren; other family and friends.

Viewing will be held from 11:00 am - 1:00 pm, Monday, May 18, 2020 at the funeral home.  A private funeral service will be held. Interment: Forest Hills Cemetery. Arrangements by John P. Franklin Funeral Home, 1101 Dodds Avenue, 423-622-9995.
