Hazel Louise McClain Smith, 80, passed away May 11, 2020.  She attended Hill High School and worked for DuPont, and Erlanger Health System.  She was a member of New Salem Baptist Church, where she was active in the choir and women’s ministry.  She was preceded in death by her parents, Hayford Sr. and Josephine McClain; siblings, Johnny McClain, Gloria McClain, Alice and Alma McClain, Walter McClain, Albert McClain. She leaves to cherish her memories:  daughters, Pamela Baldwin, Anna Smith, Carla Harris, of Flintstone, GA; siblings, Anna Bell Bryant, Chickamauga, GA; Hayford “Pie” McClain, Rossville, GA; Linda Sparks, Ringgold, GA;  Alberta McClain, LaFayette, GA, ; sister-in laws, Priscilla McClain, Rossville, GA, Mary Finley, Dorothy Smith, Chattanooga, TN; brother-in law, James Smith; 5 grandchildren, 7 great grandchildren; son-in-laws, Frederick Baldwin, David Harris; dear friends, Mildred Moreland, Thelma Ballanger, Lorene Collier, Billie Joyce Harrison, Hamilton Smith, Delores Domineck; a host of other relatives and friends; special thanks to  Alexian PACE staff. Public viewing will be Monday, May 18, 2020, from 4 – 6 pm at the funeral home. Funeral services will be held privately.  Interment:  Forest Hills Cemetery
