MR. CORDELL GADDY SR.

Cordell Gaddy Sr. was born June 4, 1949 to the late James and Netta Watson Gaddy.  He departed this life on April 27, 2020.

He was educated in the public school system of Anson County.  He retired from Charles Craft, Wadesboro, North Carolina.

Mr. Gaddy was preceded in death by his loving wife of 30 years, the late Mrs. Darlene Gaddy; one son, Rodney Lee Gaddy; three brothers, Floyd Gaddy, Nathaniel Gaddy and Zesta Gaddy; two sisters, Beulah Mullins and Cora Lee Hocutt.

He leaves to cherish his memory: five sons, Cordell Ray (Carolyn) Gaddy Jr., Antone Dwayne (Francine) Gaddy, James Cason, Angelo Cason and Cory Cason; one daughter, Angela Gaddy.

Ten grandchildren: Shalonda Gaddy, Adwyn Gaddy, J’Nyus Davis, Jeremiah Gaddy, Autumn L. Cason, Bryson O’Neal Cason, D’Angelo Cason, Malik Cason, Angel Cason and Jaquice Cason.  One great grandson, Zachariya Gaddy.

Sisters: Lydia Little of New London, NC, Virginia Cash and Annie Mae Leak of Wadesboro, NC and Elnora (Roy) Joseph of Norwalk, Connecticut; brother, James (Ann) Gaddy of Wadesboro, NC. 

Sisters-in-law, Patricia Gaddy, Bertha Gainey, Beverly Gainey, Elaine Grant and Kimberly Gainey; and a host of nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.


The Homegoing Services will be on Monday, May 4, 2020, 11:00am, Smith's Memorial Chapel, 604 Salisbury Street, Wadesboro, North Carolina.  Burial will follow in the family plot of the Westview Cemetery, Henry Street Extension, Wadesboro, North Carolina.
