Prayers of comfort for the Benson family! Charles was a very kind man who loved children. He gave us ice cream every night and He made sure that every kid nearby had “father johns” cough medicine.

I was so sorry to learn this news. I have been Mr. Benson’s dentist at UDM dental school for the past 20-25 years! He was the nicest man. Always kind. Always gentle. He would tell me stories of his mail carrying/shipping days. I just saw him about 1-2 months ago and he looked great. It was an honor to be his dentist, and he will be missed terribly. The best part of my job is the people I have met and have had the pleasure of working with for many years. Heaven has gained a Saint, we have lost a trusted and loyal friend. God bless you all during this difficult time.

Dear Benson Family, I was Mr. Benson's dental hygienist. It always made my day when I would see Mr. Benson's name on my schedule. He was so kind. You could feel the love when he spoke of you, Mrs. Benson, his children and grand. I was inspired by his dedication to his family, church and swimming. Praying for the entire family.

Dear Benson Family, You are in my thoughts and prayers during this season. Uncle Charles was a thoughtful, caring, and personable uncle. From my childhood to adulthood, Uncle Charles was a consistent loving soul. I will miss embracing him during our family gatherings. Charles was a dedicated member of the Men's choir and Shirley a dedicated Sunday School teacher at Hope United Methodist Church. Always with smiles and warm greetings, it was a joy to see them serving the Lord and modeling as husband and wife the rewards of a supportive, Christian marriage. So Shirley, God blessed you with a fine husband and a good man,, and now may God continue to bless you with inner peace, strength and beautiful memories to comfort you.
