Mr. Sammie J. Oliver, 69, of Albany, Georgia departed this life Sunday, February 23, 2020 at Phoebe Putney Memorial Hospital, Albany, Georgia. Funeral services will be held Saturday, February 29, 2020 at 3:00 P.M. from the Second Mt Zion Baptist Church, 1010 Old Pretoria Road, Albany, Georgia. Rev. Dr. Theodus Drake, Jr. is the pastor and will provide the eulogy. Interment will follow in the church cemetery. His remains will lie in state at the church Saturday from 2:00 P.M. until the service hour. The family will receive relatives and friends at 1723 Parker Avenue, Albany, Georgia. Meadows Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
