Ruth “Bunk” Wright, 91, was born in Gray, GA to the late Eli and Ethel Pounds. She passed away January 31, 2020. She was one of five children. She would later marry the late James J. “Jimmy” Wright III. She worked as a store clerk, dispatcher, and cashier before retiring. She was graceful, funny, and unselfish. She was like a “second mana” to many, offering words of wisdom and encouragement. She enjoyed sports and casino trips. She was preceded in death by her parents; sister, Nannie Lee Mitchell; brothers, Eli Pounds and Jesse Braswell; grandson, Terrence Etcheson. Those to cherish her memories are her children, James J. Wright IV, Sacramento, CA, Michael L. Wright, Karen Scruggs (Michael); grandchildren, Tonica McClain (Antwon), Michael Branham, Latrisha Hall; great Grandchildren, Amarion and Lynnea McClain, Myracle, Sha-Kayla, and JD; sister, Bessie Braswell, Cleveland, OH; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.  Public viewing will begin at 12 noon Thursday, February 6, 2020, with family visitation from 6 – 8 pm at the funeral home.  A funeral service will be held at 11:00 am Friday, February 7th in the chapel.  Interment:  Chattanooga National Cemetery
