Mr. Arthur H. Johnson, Jr., 41, of Tallahassee, Florida and formerly of Albany, Georgia departed this life Wednesday, January 22, 2020 at Encompass Health Rehabilitation Hospital, Tallahassee, Florida. Funeral services will be held Thursday, January 30, 2020 at 11:00 A.M. from the Mt. Zion Baptist Church, 901 S. Westover Blvd, Albany, Georgia. Pastor Daniel Simmons will provide the eulogy. Pastor Benjamin Mays will preside. Interment will follow in the Eastview Cemetery, 802 Ashby Street, Americus, Georgia.  His remains will lie in state at the church Thursday from 10:00 A.M. until the service hour. A wake will be Wednesday, January 29, 2020 from 6-8 P.M. in the Meadows Funeral Home Chapel, 315 S. Madison Street, Albany, Georgia. Meadows Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

    Art, thanks for the memories! I'll never forget you or the times we shared. They were some of the best moments of my life. Thanks for the long talks on the phone, and always being thoughtful of me. It's hard coming to grips with the fact that you're gone, but I know we're all here for a season and it was your time to depart this earthly realm.
