MRS. ANNIE BRAGG BIVENS

Mrs. Annie Bragg Bivens, daughter of the late Giles Bragg and Maybelle Brooks Bragg was born on January 26, 1931 in Greensboro, NC.

Annie attended Guilford County schools and furthered her education by becoming a licensed practical nurse and licensed cosmetologist. 

Mrs. Ann or Annie as she was affectionately called enjoyed life to the fullest.  She departed this life surrounded by her family at Lower Cape Fear Hospice in Wilmington, NC.

Mrs. Ann Loved music, entertaining, traveling, dressing up, and looking nice.  Ann really enjoyed cooking, baking and feeding family and friends.  Myrtle Beach with family was always great memories and fun times.

She leaves to always cherish her memories her devoted husband of 70 years, Mr. Theodore Bivens Jr. of the home.  Four children: A son that preceded her in death John Bivens; Mr. Billy Bivens, Waxhaw, NC; Mrs. Margo Bivens Howard (Clarence), Marshville, NC; Mr. Joseph Bivens (Roszena), Greenevers, NC.  Four Grand-daughters: Belinda H. Barnes (Douglas), Zebulon, NC; Carrie H. Alcantar (Joseph), Mooresville, NC; KeAundra Bivens, Marshville, NC; Madison Bivens, Greenevers, NC.  Three Great-grandchildren: Tyanna Hauser, Isabella and Santiago Alcantar.  One sister, Dorothy Mcadoo (Sam), Greensboro, NC.  Three sisters-in-law: Diane Giles, Upper Marlboro, MD; Margaret Bivens, Marshville, NC; Willie Burwell, Roxboro, NC.  She leaves a host of other family members, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.




The Services to Celebrate Mrs. Bivens life and legacy were held on Wednesday, January 29, 2020, 1:00pm, Smith's Memorial Chapel, 604 Salisbury Street, Wadesboro, North Carolina.  Interment followed at Lakeland Memorial Gardens, Monroe, North Carolina.
