Ms. Gertrude Hansberry of Detroit, Michigan Loving Mother and Grandmother born on December 15, 1942 in Detroit, Michigan made her transition on Friday, January 17, 2020 in Southfield, Michigan at the age of 77. Viewing will be held Friday, January 31, 2020 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at Ellis Funeral Home 22401 Grand River Ave. ( between Lahser Rd. & Telegraph Rd. ) Detroit, Michigan 48219. Service will be on Saturday, February 1, 2020  Family Hour at  10:00 AM with the Celebration Of Life at 11:00 AM at Word Of Power Ministry 17400 Manderson  Detroit, Michigan 48203 Bishop Benjamin Hoke Pastor. Interment will follow at Wood Lawn Cemetery 19975 Woodward Ave. Detroit, Michigan 48203. Flower Delivery hours will be on Friday, January 31, 2020 from 12 Noon to 6:00 PM.

    Our hearts are broken. We loved and cherished our dearly beloved , Administrative Assistant/Poet - Missionary Trudy Hansberry. She was so talented and gifted. She was a giver, helper, and a great caregiver. Trudy loved to write poetry, stories and sermonettes. We will truly miss our precious, Trudy!
