Barbara Ann Dews, 78, was born January 11, 1942 to the late Abe and Vivian Hill Clark. She entered into eternal rest on January 18, 2020. Barbara was a member of Stephen Temple Cumberland Presbyterian Church. She worked at Kleen-A-Matic Cleaners. She attended Joseph E. Smith School. Barbara enjoyed attending church, riding in the car and seeing the sights of the city. But her biggest came from being around her grandchildren and loving them. Barbara was preceded in death by her parents, Abe and Vivian Clark; husband, Melvin Dews; son, Allen Clark; sister, Freda Clark; brothers, Kevin and Adrian Clark. Those to cherish her precious memories include her sons, Kim Clark, Melvin Dews, Jr.; daughters, Yolanda and Latasor Dews; brother, Robert Clark; sister, Cynthia Clark; 19 grandchildren, Tiajuanna Dews, Tiundra Dews, Desmond Beamon, Michael Dews, Virgil Kyner, Katrina Langston, Katrece Bell, Ebony Bell, Paul Bell, Joshua Bell, LaBrecia Dews, Michael Ray, Parshonda Ray, Shondell Jackson, Allen Jones, Derrick Roberson, all of Chattanooga; 45 great grandchildren; devoted friend, Sharon Walker; a host of other relatives and friends. She will be dearly missed. Public viewing will begin at 12 noon Friday, January 31, 2020 and the family will receive  friends from 7 - 8 pm at the funeral home. A funeral service will be held Saturday, February 1 at 1:00 pm at John P. Franklin Funeral Home. Interment: Highland Memorial Gardens. Arrangements by John P.
