Mattocks family I am very sorry to learn of Rev. Ernestine's passing. Wow! The last time I saw her was on Nov 16th @ a church/musical program. After the service, she called me over to where she was sitting and told me to help her up. Once she up on her feet, she hugged me, got in my ear and told me what thus saith the Lord! She then looked me in my eyes and said to me "do you hear me?" And I said yes and nodded my head. She grabbed me one more time, hugged and kissed me on my cheek! Little did I know that would be my last time seeing her. Rev. Ernestine has always been an encourager to me since back in the 80's when she used follow 'the Sounds of Pentecost' gospel group. Be not dismayed family because I believe the Lord is truly pleased with the life she lived. Rest assured that it's NOT over and you/we will see her again, never having to say good bye anymore! TGBTG!!!

"Earth has no sorrow that Heaven cannot heal...". Bedell, I am still at a lost for words and my heart is full. Ms Ernestine played a vital role as a community neighbor, mother, friend and a footman for Jesus Christ in our small little area we called "up the road" between Pamlico and Oriental. Please know that you and the family are in my thoughts and prayers. May you find comfort and peace in all the devoted time spent with her. Love you much, your classmate and friend - Gladys
