Mr. Anthony "Tony" Wright, Sr., 44

Mr. Anthony Tyrone Wright, Sr. known by most as “Tony” was born on October 7, 1974 to Charles Wright and the late Tanger Wright.

At an early age, he became a member of Friendship AME Church. Most of his education was received in the Brooks County School System and some college.

On July 1, 2000, he was united in holy matrimony to Latisha Richardson. To this union, two children were born. Anthony was a loving husband, friend, and brother until the end. He departed this life September 11, 2019 at Tallahassee Memorial Hospital.

Anthony leaves to mourn, a devoted wife of 19 years, 26 altogether, Mrs. Latisha Wright, Quitman, GA; three sons, Travieon Fulton (Kenya), Athens, GA, Anthony Wright Jr. (Skylar), Quitman, GA, and Armon Wright, Atlanta, GA; father, Charles Wright, Quitman, GA; siblings, Timothy Wright (Marcy), Valdosta, GA, Chandra Howard (Keith), Dixie, GA and Keisha Turner; grandchildren, Aniyah Wright, Marley Jackson, Semaj Range and Jamarion Herring; mother and father-in-law, Bobbie and Ervin Richardson; grandparents, Corene Wright and Martha Richardson, Quitman, GA; God mother, Mary Hines and Evangeline Roundtree; a host of God children; special brother, Terrell Roundtree; God sisters, Stacey Brinson (Ronald), Tracey Watts, Ashley Edwards; two dearly devoted friends, Albert Brooks and Jamie Mitchell and a host of relatives and friends that will miss him dearly.

Funeral services were Sunday, September 22, 2019 at 3:00 P.M. at The Church of God in Unity in Quitman, with Rev. Elzie Staten officiating.  Burial followed in the North End Cemetery in Quitman.  Condolences may be made by visiting stevensmcgheefuneralhome.com  Stevens-McGhee Funeral Home was in charge of the arrangements.
