Mrs. Annie Grace Grant, 56

Annie Grace Byron-Grant was born February 24, 1963 to the late Johnnie Mae and Andrew Byron, Sr. of Adel, Georgia. After a brief illness, Grace as she was often called transitioned from this life into an eternal rest on September 16, 2019 at The Coliseum Macon Hospital, in Macon, Georgia with her family at her bedside. She was a 1982 graduate of Cook High School, Adel. Upon graduation she was employed by Del-Cook Lumber Company and Western Sizzlin in Adel.  On October 24, 1998, she married Willie “Peanut” Grant.  She was a loving devoted wife, mother, sister, grandmother, aunt, and niece with a beautiful smile. She loved her children, and thus began her life-long adventure of becoming a caregiver for her family’s children.  Grace reared two of her nieces as her very own, Kamryn Hooks and Latifah Hooks of Adel.  She gave her life to Christ at an early age and joined Salvation Pentecostal Word Ministries in Berlin, Georgia and later became a member of Piney Grove Missionary Baptist Church in Adel.

She leaves to cherish her memory, a loving husband, Willie “Peanut” Grant; her children, Charles Smith and Kerby Smith, Adel, GA; extended children, Reggie (LaDonna) Grant of Nebraska, Kevin (Lashay) Grant, and Dianna Grant, Moultrie, GA; five sisters, Maxine Byron, April Mobley, and Peggy (Darrelon) Mays, Adel, GA., Altheal (Kenneth) Smith, Thomasville, GA, and Alfrieda Doe, Atlanta, GA; two brothers, Raymond Hooks, Adel, GA, and Andrew Bryon, Jr. (Conquista), Thomasville, GA; a loving step-dad, James Arthur Lewis and a host of grandchildren, relatives and friends.

Funeral services were Saturday, September 21, 2019 at 3:00 P.M. at Piney Grove MB Church in Adel with Rev. Benjamin officiating. Burial followed in the Adel Cemetery. Condolences may be made by visiting
