Louvenia Burris Carothers was born on December 3, 1945 in York South Carolina. On September 19, 2019, Louvenia peacefully exchanged time here on earth for eternal life surrounded by her loving family. Lou as she was passionately called by her loved ones was the daughter of the late Mary and Lonnie Burris. She is preceded in death by a brother: Johnny Burris.

Louvenia attended Roosevelt High School in Clover, S.C. She accepted Christ at an early age. She was a faithful and active member of Burge Memorial Methodist Church in Mt. Holly. Louvenia was an usher, communion stewardess, on the hospitality committee, and a member of the United Methodist Women Organization. Louvenia worked in textiles. She was employed at Belmont Hosiery for 32 years and at American & Efird for 8 years until she became ill. She spent her remaining days at home. Lou will be missed by all who knew her.

Louvenia leaves to cherish her memory her children: Catherine Carothers, Latoria Carothers, and Albert Carothers all of Mt. Holly; sisters: Martha Burris of Mt. Holly, Mary Burris (James) of Mt. Holly, Margaret Currence (Jack) of Mt. Holly, Francina Burris (Levon) of Mt. Holly, and Mozel Nelly of York S.C; brothers: Lonnie Burris of Mt. Holly and William Burris of Myrtle Beach, S.C; 2 grandsons: Ronnie Brooks and Demmarick Floyd;  2 great grandchildren: Bella McIntosh and Easton Brooks; a special God daughter: Melissa Alexander and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Funeral: Tuesday; September 24, 2019; 2:00 p.m.; Burge Memorial Methodist Church-312 W. Glendale Ave, Mt. Holly

Visitation: thirty minutes before the service at the church

Interment: Hillcrest Memorial Gardens, Mt. Holly
