Ruth B. Kidd, 91, a lifelong resident of Chattanooga passed away on Wednesday, September 18, 2019.  She was preceded in death by her parents, John and Effie Brooks; husband, Hubert Kidd; four brothers and one sister. She leaves behind to cherish her memories her children, Sharon (Ronald) Swafford, Theresa (Napoleon) Custer and Shaun Kidd; she will be sadly missed by 9 grandchildren; 5 great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews. Public viewing will begin after 12 noon Monday, September 23, 2019, and family visitation from 6 – 7 pm at the funeral home. The funeral service will be Tuesday, September 24th at 1:00 pm at New Zion Baptist Church.  Interment: Highland Memorial Gardens. Arrangements by John P. Franklin Funeral Home, 1101 Dodds Avenue, 622-9995.
