Lonnie Gibbs, Sr.,  85, of 6167 Hwy. 55 E, Pamlico County died Friday, September 13, 2019 at his residence.

Friends and family may express condolences at the residence.  Viewing hours are 9:30 PM to 6:00 PM Friday at Oscar's Mortuary, Inc.

His funeral service is 1:00 PM Saturday, September 21, 2019 at the New Bern Eastern M. B. Association Headquarters  885 Hwy. 306 N, Grantsboro.  The interment will follow at the Gibbs Cemetery, Maribel..

He is survived by his wife, Doris Gibbs of the home; three sons, Gregory Gibbs, Ct., Scott Gibbs of the home, Sean Gibbs, Philippines; four daughters, Terese Gibbs Jones, Bayboro, Robin Gibbs Robinson, West Haven, CT, Vanessa Jordan, Stanford, CT, Cheryl Brown, New Haven, CT; three sisters, Virgella Warren, Hamden, Ct., Linda Sawyer, Maribel and Doris Squires, New York, NY; thirty-two grandchildren and a host of great-grandchildren.
