Mrs. Ruby Mitchell, 85, of Campbellsville, KY died on September 12, 2019 at St. Joseph Hospital in Lexington, KY.

Mrs. Mitchell was a native of Campbellsville, KY and the daughter of the late Riley and Florence Collins.  She was a member of Pleasant Union Baptist Church where she served on the Culinary Committee.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband,  James Harrison Mitchell; one son, Larry Starks and one brother, Alonzo Durham.

Survivors include one daughter, LaVada McClain of Lexington, KY; one son, Harry Starks of Lexington, KY; one sister, Louise Jones; brothers, Joe Collins and Riley Collins; five grandchildren and one great grandchild.

Funeral service will be 12 noon on Friday, September 20, 2019 at Pleasant Union Baptist Church with Rev. Michael Caldwell officiating. Burial will follow in Lebanon National Cemetery.

Visitation will be from 10:00 am to 12 noon also on September 20, 2019 at Pleasant Union Baptist Church.

Buchanan, Robinson & Percell Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
