Alton Jasper Hilliard, 68, of Raleigh, NC died Thursday, September 5, 2019 at Duke-Raleigh Hospital.

The family visitation is 12:00 PM, Friday, September 13, 2019 at St. Peter's A.M. E. Zion Church  617 Queen Street New Bern with the funeral service beginning at 1:00 PM.  The interment will follow at the Tabernacle M. B. Church Cemetery, Hwy. 17 S., New Bern.

He is survived by his son, Jeffrey Heath of Fayetteville, NC; one brother, Alfonzo Hilliard; two sisters, Veronica Hilliard-Lee and Valderia Hilliard-Shumate; two grandchildren.
