Maquela Donye “KayKay” Link, 25 passed away on September 3, 2019 at Carolinas Medical Center in Charlotte, NC.

Maquela was a sweet young lady, with a beautiful smile, and a sweet little giggle.  Maquela was a small young lady, but she had a big appetite.  She loved to eat, especially during the holidays.  Maquela had a special bond with her cousins, Jordon Link and Christian Link of Lincolnton, NC which were more like siblings to her as they were raised together. Also Brooke Ramseur of Lincolnton, NC was like a sister to, they worked together and played together.

Maquela was born May 15, 1994 to Kimberly Link and MacArthur Littlejohn in Lincolnton, NC.  Maquela attended North Lincoln High School, class of 2013.  She also attended Kings College and graduated with an Associate degree in Office Administration.  She was previously employed by RHA of Lincolnton, NC and Great Lakes Petroleum of Charlotte, NC.

Maquela was preceded in death by her uncle: William “WeeWee” Link.

Maquela is survived by her parents, grandparents of the home: William (Victoria) Link, Josephine Littlejohn of Gastonia, NC; and Gene Littlejohn of Lincolnton, NC; aunts: Crystal (Albert) Enlow, Pamela Link, Jody Link all of Lincolnton, NC; uncles: Ken (Dana) Link of Denver, NC Marcus (Lynn) Link of Lincolnton, NC, Issac Link of Denver, Colorado, and Toni Littlejohn of Gastonia, NC; special cousins: Jillian “Jillybean” Enlow and Jonathan “JonJon” Enlow of Lincolnton, NC whom Maquela affectionately loved and a host of family and friends.  She will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.
 

Funeral: Tuesday, September 10, 2019; 2:00 p.m.; Moore’s Chapel Baptist Church, Lincolnton

Visitation: one hour before the service at the church
