Mary Lou Little, 98, passed away August 25, 2019.  She was a member of New Hope Baptist Church. Left to cherish her precious memories are daughter, Darlene Little, Jacksonville, FL;  son, James (Vanessa) Little, Houston, TX; grandchildren, Garnette (Ivan) Thomas, Chattanooga, TN, Dana (Anderson) Sanders, Chattanooga, TN, Antwoine Phillips, Houston, TX, Chenille McClain, Nashville, TN, Leyland (Keisha) Rucker, Chattanooga, TN, Andre Zuber, Chattanooga, TN; brother, Charles A. Jones, Baltimore, MD; sisters, Barbara Hunter, Atlanta, GA, Patsy Allen, Atlanta, GA, Emma Butler, Baltimore, MD, Drucilla Hoyle, Baltimore, MD; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and dear friends. Public viewing will be held 12 pm until 8:30 pm and the family will receive friends from 6 pm – 7 pm Thursday, September 5, 2019 at the funeral home.  A Funeral service will be held at 12 noon Friday, September 6th at New Hope Baptist Church with Pastor Wayne Johnson officiating.  Interment:  Lakewood Memory Gardens-East

    Ms Mae Lou is what we called her. A sweet soft spoken woman, never raised her voice. I can remember her telling me to be ready Sunday morning she was taking me to church. After that every Sunday I was at New Hope Baptist church where a joined. Rev. Hamilton pastor on Rossville and Read Avenue. To the family love ❤️ y’all.

    Remembering, Sister Little, she was kind and willing to serve. She lived a life of integrity to go the extra mile to help others and always taking the Lord with her. May the Lord bless and comfort the family.

    My prayers are with the family. Ms Mae Lou was a faithful New Hope member as well as a Usher. We called her and the other ladies that were faithful "The Golden Girls" they were excellent mentors.
