Sandra E. Wimberly, Augusta, Georgia—Sandra E. Wimberly passed on Friday, August 2, 2019.

A native of Augusta, GA, Sandra is the daughter of the late Flim and Dorothy Wimberly. Sandra earned her Bachelor's degree from Morris College and her Master's degree from Bowling Green State University in rehabilitation counseling. She worked as a counselor at Brightmore Hospital and Georgia Regional Hospital. She also served as a health educator for Richmond County Board of Health. 

Survivors include her sister: Frances D. Wimberly; bonus daughter: Cekishia (Willie) Adams; nieces: Meme (Eric) Smith, Sonya Thomas, Starlett Wimberly and Shawnda Wimberly; nephews: Michael (Angela) Wimberly, Trevor (Yonisha) Wimberly; devoted great niece: Alexus Wimberly; a host of other relatives and friends. 

A memorial service will be held Thursday, August 8, 2019 at 12:00 noon from First Metropolitan Baptist Church, 3719 Belair Road, Augusta Reverend Enoch Ward, pastor-officiating.
