Mr. Morris James Mobley, 69

Mr. Morris James Mobley was born February 26, 1950 in Brooks County GA. He was the son of the late Roosevelt Mobley Sr. and the late Edna Mae Ward Mobley. He departed this life at South Georgia Medical Center on July 6, 2019.

He attended and graduated from Brooks County School system. Mr. Morris worked at Del-Cook Lumber Company for over 20 years. He also worked for Burton Farms where he was a dedicated employee.

Morris leaves to cherish his memories, his wife, Mary Jean Mobley; his children, Pamela Peoples (Allen), Miami, FL, David Reynolds (Valencia), Valdosta, GA, Lisa Mobley and Tiffany Mobley, Adel, GA and LaSharon Mobley, Morven, GA; siblings, Roosevelt Mobley Jr. (Sara Louise deceased), Sparks, GA, Justine Scott (Al), Quitman, GA, Hubert Mobley (Diane), Ann Reynolds (Charlie), Barney, GA, Albert Mobley, Quitman, GA, Isaac Thompson, Ira James Mobley (Linda), Morven, GA, Jimmy Thompson, Valdosta, GA, Arlene Grant, Berlin, GA, Bobby Mobley (Lisa), Morven, GA, Nathan Thompson (Annie), Valdosta, GA, Johnny Mobley (Sharon), Anthony Thompson, Earlene Mobley (Anthony), Morven, GA, Rose Mobley, Quitman, GA, John Henry Mobley (Felicia), Valdosta, GA; aunts, Martha Jackson and Eunice Curry; one brother-in-law, James McCormick (Monique); sister-in-laws, Sulinda Davis, Gail McCormick (Donald), and Angela Lawrence (Lemodis) and a host grandchildren, relatives and friends.

In addition to his parents, Morris was preceded in death by a brother, Phillip Mobley, a sister, Vanessa Thompson and a grandson, Tarquavious Gray.


Funeral services were Saturday, July 13, 2019 at 3:00 P.M. at The Morven Auditorium in Morven, GA with Minister Solomon Edwards, Jr. officiating. Burial followed in The Adel Cemetery.
