Funeral services for Ms. Ruby Mae Finley Calhoun will be 1:00 p.m. on Friday, July 26, 2019 at Terry's Mortuary Chapel. Rev. John L. Ragland, Jr. will be the eulogist. Interment will be in Oak Hill Cemetery.

Ms. Ruby Mae Finley Calhoun
was born on November 22, 1940 to the union of Ruben Finley and Marie Turner Finley in Talladega County, Alabama. 

Ms. Dates was a member of Morning Star Missionary Baptist Church. She was a graduate of Talladega County Training School. Ruby retired from Palm Beach with many years of dedicated service.

Ruby departed this earthly life on the evening of Friday, July 19, 2019 at Citizens Baptist Medical Center. She was preceded in passing by her son, Ronnie Dates; parents, Ruben and Marie Finley; two sisters, Annie Pearl Finley and Gussie Finley; and three brothers, Johnny Finley, John Walter Finley and Bobby Finley.

Ms. Calhoun leaves to cherish her memories: two daughters, Cynthia (Glencie) Garrett and Debra Dates of Talladega, Alabama; one son, Melvin Dates of Talladega, Alabama; two grandchildren, Kassia Garrett and Quintavius Garrett; nineteen great grandchildren; one sister, Virginia Beavers of Anniston, Alabama; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
