Joe Ann Lee Blount Crowder was born July 4, 1953 to the late R.C. and Pauline Hall Lee.  Joe Ann entered into eternal rest on Wednesday July 17, 2019 at Hospice of Union County.

She attended East Polkton School.  Later, she received her GED from Piedmont School.  She worked for Cooper Tools 30 plus years until its closing.  She enjoyed playing softball, fishing and traveling.  She loved getting together with family and always looked out for everyone when she was in good health.

Joe Ann accepted Christ at an early age and was a member of New Zion Missionary Baptist Church in Peachland, NC.  She was Secretary of the Pastor’s Aid and served as an Usher until her health declined.

Joe Ann was preceded in death by her husband, Carl Crowder and one daughter, Andrea Lorraine Blount.

She leaves to cherish her memories four sons, Kelly (Angie) Blount, Archie LeMario (Ann) Blount, Scottie Blount and Christopher Blount all of Wingate, NC; one granddaughter who was like a daughter, Mia Kenyana Blount.

She also leaves cherished memories to 15 grandchildren and 15 great grandchildren; five sisters, Bernice Lee of Marshville, NC, Lillie Mae Huntley of Wadesboro, NC, Daisy (John) Gillespie of Marshville, NC, Terry Crastley of Marshville, NC, Dorothy Cook of Peachland, NC and one brother, Robert (Sarah) Lee of Monroe, NC; one uncle, Joseph Hall of Wingate, NC; two aunts, Ella Rushing of Marshville, NC and Ester McManus of Monroe, NC.  A host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

The Services to celebrate the life and legacy of Mrs. Blount will be on Monday, July 22, 2019, 2:00pm, Smith's Memorial Chapel, 604 Salisbury Street, Wadesboro, North Carolina.  Burial will follow in the family plot of Williams Cemetery, Polkton, North Carolina.

The Family will greet family and friends on Monday, July 22, 2019 from 1:30-2:00pm at Smith's Memorial Chapel, 604 Salisbury Street, Wadesboro, North Carolina and at all other times at the residence.
