Mrs. Aggie Gaddy Dean, 90, was called home to be with the Lord on July 12, 2019 while at her residence surrounded by her children.  Aggie was born on January 24, 1929 in Polkton, NC to her parents, Mr. Clyde Gaddy, Sr. and Mrs. Lillie Davis Gaddy.

Aggie attended East Polkton School.  While attending school, Aggie was a member of the girls’ basketball team and enjoyed riding her bike with her siblings and friends.  After graduating from high school, Aggie worked at Anson County Hospital for several years.  She later attended South Piedmont Community College (then known as Anson Tech) where she received her certification as a Certified Nursing Assistant.  She worked at Autumn Care Nursing and Rehabilitation in Marshville, NC as a Certified Nursing Assistant for several years.  She loved working and helping the elderly.  She received many awards for her care while working there.  She was named Employee of the Month several times and Employee of the Year. After leaving Autumn Care to relocate closer to her home, Aggie worked caring for the elderly in their homes with Home Care Nursing for a few years and later retired.  After retiring, Aggie spent most of her days attending church, church functions and attending social functions and meeting with her clubs.  She also enjoyed spending time with her children and grandchildren.  She loved her family and loved having the around.

Aggie accepted Christ at an early age at her home church, Poplar Hill in Polkton, NC.  She later joined Ebenezer Missionary Baptist Church where she was a loyal and active member.  She was a member of the Ebenezer Mass Choir, The Deaconess Board and The Finance Committee.  She loved her church and enjoyed working with her church family, working faithfully until her health declined.

To the Dean Family, I can truly say I experienced the pain of losing both parents in death. You may feel alone but the love you have as a family will strengthen your bonds greater than before. It has been an honor to have known Aggie and to have been a part of her family. "For if we have faith that Jesus died an rose again, so too God will bring with him those who have fallen asleep in death through Jesus." -1 Thess. 4:14

God rest her soul and give comfort and peace of mind to her family. Mrs Aggie played softball for me when I started a ladies team at Anson Coubty Hospital way back in 1976. God has gained a sweet, yet tough, angel.
