Erica Alexis Parks, 47, passed away on June 23, 2019 in Chattanooga. She was employed at McKee Foods and a member of New Mt. Carmel Baptist Church. She was a graduate of Brainerd High School, Class of 1989, and a graduate of Chattanooga State Community College. Survivors include her daughter, Lyn’Quinnesha Parks; mother, Henrietta Parks; father, Samuel Parks; brothers, Samuel Parks, Jr. and James Parks; companion, Eric Jones. The body will lie in state after 12 noon until 8:30 pm on Wednesday, July 3, 2019. A funeral service will be held on Friday, July 5th at 12 noon at New Mt. Carmel Baptist Church with Rev. Walter Lindsey officiating.  Interment: Hamilton Memorial Gardens. Arrangements by John P. Franklin Funeral Home, 1101 Dodds Avenue, 423-622-9995.

    You will be truly missed Erica, we use to come in and work 12 hours together and I will always ask you if you were woke. You also gave me the nickname "Pit Bull" because I was so outspoken, like you. My condolences to her daughter and the rest of her family. She will be truly missed at McKee Foods

    Dear family members of Erica Parks, so very sorry to notice that your dear one has passed away. It's wonderful that the Bible holds out the prospect of everlasting life in a perfect world with no sickness, death, mourning outcry or pain.
