Alphonsa Larry (Bonzie) Butler,  63, of Daytona Beach, Florida, transitioned from labor to reward on Thursday, June 20, 2019 in the comfort of his home. Alphonsa was born on September 15, 1955 to James Butler, Sr. and Minnie T. Robinson Butler, in Espanola, FL. He received his early education in the Flagler County School system, and his formal education at Tuskegee University in Tallahassee, FL. Alphonsa was affiliated with Living Faith Christian Center Florida, under the leadership of Rev. Arthur Jackson. His employment included driving trucks for Division Forestry, Dunn Lumber, ITT, Rinker and Builder First Source. Alphonsa enjoyed fishing, dancing, listening to music, cooking, grilling, spending time with his grandchildren, family and friends. Alphonsa was definitely the life of any party, and he lived his life to the fullest.
Alphonsa was preceded in death by: Father: James Butler, Sr.; Mother: Minnie T. Robinson Butler; Sister: Gloria Jean McKay and Niece: Shatoya McKay
Alphonsa’s legacy will live on through the lives of:

His Devoted and Loving Daughters: Natlie (Antonio) White, Hephzibah, GA; Mia C. Butler, Daytona Beach, FL; Grandchildren: Areial Johnson, Alex Johnson, K’Hari Butler and Khristina Jones; Brothers: James (Windy) Butler; Hershel (Catherine) Butler; Lorenzo Frazier (Janet) Butler; Alphonso (Pamela) Holden and Melvin (Lynn) Lee; Uncle: John Robinson; Nephews: James Butler, III; Lorenzo Butler, Jr.; Derek Butler; Gregory Butler and Quadre’ Butler; Caring and Devoted  Nieces: Naya (Dennis) Roberts; Shalunda (Willie) Butler and Zionni Butler and a host of sorrowing great- nieces, great -nephews, cousins, relatives and friends, including Steve Green, Walt Monroe and Damion Smith.

The viewing will be Friday, June 28, 2019 from 5:00p.m.- 7:30p.m. at Coleman's Mortuary Family Chapel.

The Homegoing Celebration will be 2:00 p.m. Saturday, June 29, 2019 at St. Paul Missionary Baptist Church,
Rev. Dr. Frank Giddens, Sr., Pastor.

The burial will be in Masonic Cemetery, Palm Coast, FL.
