I extend prayers of peace and love for my dear family and friends of my Uncle Sam. There are so many stories and memories to cherish of Uncle Sam but, what I remember most is that, from my childhood to adulthood, he was as steady, reliable and dependable as they come. In his own quiet way, he garnered the love and respect of all who were blessed to know him. He will be deeply missed, however I take joy in knowing that his rich legacy will carry on through his kids, grand kids and all who knew and loved him.

May you find comfort in knowing that your dear one will never have to face that last enemy, death, ever again. In the meantime, his acts of faith live on until he stands up alive and whole in the Paradise. We learn from God's word the Bible that Jehovah hates death; He views it as an enemy. ( 1 Corinthians 15:26) He has a longing to conquer that enemy, to undo death by means of the resurrection. He yearns to bring back those who are in his memory and to see them live on earth again.-Job 14:14,15. Please visit our website www.jw.org There you can learn more about the promises Jehovah has in store for obedient mankind.

The lose of your love one Lewis saddens your family and nothing could have prepared your family for such a great lose. My deepest condolences are with you. However, you can be comforted knowing that Lewis have the hope of a resurrection. The resurrection hope is recorded in the Bible at John 5:28,29 and Acts 24:15. Furthermore, our Heavenly Father Jehovah have compassion for your family especially now. His love and compassion was written at Psalms 34:18 which says “Jehovah is near the broken-hearted; He is close to those who are crushed in spirit”. At this time of mourning Jehovah stated at James 4:8,”Draw close to Jehovah and he will draw close to you” because he will strengthen and comfort you.

We're so sorry to hear you lost a dear loved one. It is very comforting to read the Bible in these difficult moments. I personally like Psalms 9:9 which reads: “Jehovah will become a secure refuge for the oppressed, A secure refuge in times of distress.” Our loving God cares about us and is ready to bring us comfort if we allow him (1John 5:14). Jehovah our God also has made the provision of a resurrection RIGHT HERE ON EARTH when it is restored into a beautiful paradise (Acts 24:15; Isaiah 55:11). Close your eyes and imagine yourself welcoming back to life your dear loved one? Find out more about this resurrection online at jw.org

I will always remember Sam's kind spirit. He and Sarah were always a couple that I admired from way back in our courting years at First Emmanuel. My dad loved Sam and I will remember his visit during my father's illness. I've always counted the McCluney's as part of the my spiritual village and positive experiences at First Emmanuel. Love Sheila

God will sustain you with his "right hand of righteousness" during this difficult time and through each passing day." Isaiah 41:10 says:..."I am with you. Do not be anxious, for I am your God. I will fortify you, yes, I will help you, I will really hold on to you with my right hand of righteousness." Isaiah 41:13; I "am grasping your right hand, the One [God] saying to you,...'I will help you.'" Please accept my sincere condolences. Always remember God loves you and he cares for you!
