Deacon Vincent Ray Watts was born on August 8, 1951 in Oak Hill, WV. He entered eternal rest on Wednesday, June 5, 2019 at The Robin Johnson Hospice House, Dallas, NC. He was the son of the late James Perry and Betsy Gail Peaks Watts.
He was a graduate of Oak Hill High School in Oak Hill, WV. Many years later he attended American Christian University and graduated. He worked with the Railroad company for many years. While taking dialysis 3 times a week, he was determined to keep working in the boxing/shipping department until it just became too much for him to handle. At that point he retired from Harper Corporation of America after 10 ½ years.
He was known by many names, Mr. Vincent, Deac, and Worm. He fought his battle with dialysis and lung cancer for almost 10 years and outlived the doctor’s predictions over the years as he was a true fighter. Everyone that knew him, knew him as being quiet and humble. He was an avid Cleveland Browns fan.  You couldn’t say anything about his Cleveland Browns.  He loved to play guitar and sing and, on his wedding, day he sung to his wife “Falling In Love with Linda.”
He is preceded in death by his twin brother Vernon Watts, and other brothers, Chester, James Hebert, and Forest Watts.
He is survived by his loving and devoted wife of 16 years, Linda Watts; two stepsons; Minister Robert Hunter (Brenda) and Evangelist Carlos Hunter (fiancé Terri Hubbs); and one stepdaughter, Sawaiyia Green; two Step Grandchildren, Stephon Grastley and Ayden Green; one sister, Nellie Moore; two brothers Cornell Watts and Ricky (Teresa) Watts.  Special Friend, Tonda Shipp, who was more like a daughter. Two brothers-in-law; Curtis (Deloris), and Rollins Alexander. A host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

We're sorry to hear about your recent loss. Accept our sincere condolences. The words of Philippians 4:13 can be very soothing in these moments, it says: "For all things I have the strength through the one who gives me power." What a loving God who cares about each one of us. He didn't intend for us to grow old and die. He thus has made the SURE promise of a resurrection right here on earth when it is restored to a beautiful paradise (Psalms 37:9-11, 29; Acts 24:15; Isaiah 55;11). Can you see yourself welcoming back to life your loved ones? What a joy it will bring all of us. You can go online to JW.ORG and find out more about this resurrection.
