May the Lewis family find comfort in the reminder that the death of our loved one does not end it all. At John 11:25, Jesus told Lazarus' sister Martha: "I am the resurrection and the life." After Jesus was resurrected, Jehovah grave him the power not only to resurrect the dead but also to impart eternal life to them. At Revelation 1:18, Jesus calls himself "the living one," who has the keys of death and of the Grave." He is truly the hope of the living and the dead. At John 5:28-29, Jesus promises to open up the tombs and give the dead life, either in the heavens as his corulers or on his new earth ruled by his heavenly government. (2 Peter 3:13) As we remember you in prayer, we ask that you find joy in knowing that Jesus' death offers your loved one life, not death!

To family and friends my deepest sympathies to you for the loss of your love one. The death of a loved one in death brings tears and sorrow. It is comforting to know that the Bible at John 5:28,29 promise that our loved ones who have died can live again by means of the Resurrection. Also at Isaiah 26:19 says "Your dead will live... the earth will let those powerless in death come to life". What a wonderful hope of seeing your love one again! To the family and friends of Michael Lewis Sr. , I’m sending my sympathy and warm Christian love. It’s so sad to lose a love one in death, but soon God’s kingdom will rule over mankind.(Matthew 6:10) Under that kingdom “no resident will say I am sick.”(Isaiah 33:24) There will be no death, no tears(Revelation 21:3,4) we will be able to live forever here on earth “in the abundance of peace.”(Psalms 37:11)

I served under Rev. Lewis and worked closely with him at Shady Grove Missionary Baptist Church. I knew his wife and both of his sons. He was learned in the knowledge of wisdom , a loving and kind husband and father. I watched him tried by fire and come out as pure gold. God bless his soul and comfort his family.

Our deepest condolences to all the love ones of the dearly departed. The words found at 2 Corinthians chapter 1 verses 3 and 4 were especially comforting to our family during the loss of our parents and dear loved ones. It says, "Praised be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of tender mercies and God of all comfort, who comforts us in all our trials so that we may be able to comfort others in any sort of trial with comfort that we receive from God." May these words strengthen you too.
