MR. FRED KENNETH "CARTOON" LITTLE

FRED was a true fighter.  He kept the faith.  He may have given out, but he didn’t give up.  God saw he was getting tired and a cure was not to be, so He put His arms around him and whispered, “Come To Me.”  He transitioned from earthly to the resting unto the resurrection state on Friday, May 24, 2019 at 11pm at the HAVEN with Richmond County Hospice.

“Cartoon” as he was fondly called by many; but, “Kenny” by his wife, was born in Anson County, NC on Saturday, August 30, 1958 to the late Mary Ellen Bennett Little and Fred Knotts.

Friday evening, March 30, 2001 on the streets of the Parkertown Community, he confessed Christ led by Apostle Jerome Dumas.  He didn’t have a church home, he attended various churches, wherever he was lead to attend, to receive the WORD OF GOD. He was baptized by Rev. Howard Rogers on March 19, 2003 along with his son, Jarrett in the Pleasant Grove Baptist Church pool. On December 6, 2008, he was appreciated for dedicated service and commitment to the St. Luke Church of God by Elder Eric Smalley.

He was educated in the Anson County School System.  He had a love for hunting, fishing, his family, especially his 5 grandsons, building and last-but not least, riding his Harley Davidson Fatboy.  Before he became disabled, he was employed with McRae Building Specialty and various other former jobs.

Fred was united in marriage to Sylvia Haywood on September 8, 2001 by the late Roosevelt Walls.  The harvested fruit for Fred and Sylvia was Jasmine and Jarrett.

Fred was preceded in death by his mother, Mary Little;  two brothers, George Little and Charles Knotts and father-in-law, Sylvester Haywood.

He leaves to cherish his faithful, dedicated and loyal wife, Sylvia Haywood-Little of the home of 17 years but had a relationship for 32 years; two daughters, Jasmine Coleman (Omar) of High Point, NC and Deputy Carmen Jenkins (Eric) of Wadesboro, NC; two sons, Jarrett Little of Greensboro, NC and Jason Greene of Moore, Oklahoma; five grandsons, Omari, Ja-Kari, Davari, DaQuan and A.J.; father and stepmother, Fred Knotts (Betty) of Polkton, NC; mother-in-law, Rachel Haywood;  six sisters, Mary Owens of Fayetteville, NC, JoAnn Isley of Monroe, NC, Linda Little, Gail Nivens of Wadesboro, NC, Carolyn Gillespie (Archer) of Marshville, NC and Angeles Hyatt (Darrin) of Wadesboro, NC; two brothers, Carl Dougherty (Atha Mae) of Wadesboro, NC and David (Jack) Little of Thomasville, NC; one aunt, Bernice Horne of Marshville, NC; one uncle, Risdon Knotts of Charlotte, NC; sister-in-law, Becky Knotts; best (childhood) friend, Donnie Harrington; faithful to the end friends, Richard Leak, Big Cuz John Wiggins, adopted uncle, Joseph (Jake) Ratliff and a host of nieces, great nieces, nephews, great nephews other relatives and friends.

He was loved and adored by many, never meeting anybody, leaving a dull moment.  He will be missed but never forgotten.

The Homegoing Services were held on Saturday, June 1, 2019, 11:00am, Smith’s Memorial Chapel, 604 Salisbury Street, Wadesboro, North Carolina. Burial  followed in Thomasville Baptist Church Cemetery, Mt. Gilead, North Carolina.

God will sustain you with his "right hand of righteousness" during this difficult time and through each passing day. Isaiah 41:10 says:..."I am with you. Do not be anxious, for I am your God. I will fortify you, yes, I will help you, I will really hold on to you with my right hand of righteousness." Isaiah 41:13; I "am grasping your right hand, the One [God] saying to you,...'I will help you.'" Please accept my sincere condolences. Always remember God loves you and he cares for you! (Psalm 36:7; 1 Peter 5:7)

Accept our sincere sympathies in this difficult time you are going through. I have found the words of Psalms 46:1 really comforting. It reads: "God is our refuge and strength, A help that is readily found in times of distress." Our loving God is there for us if we ask for his help (1 John 5:14). I also have come to know that has made the SURE promise of a resurrection RIGHT HERE ON EARTH when it is restored to a beautiful paradise (Psalms 37:9-11, 29; Acts 24:15; Isaiah 55;11).Can you imagine yourself welcoming back to life your loved ones? You can find at jw.org more about how our God, Jehovah, will do all this for us.
