Funeral services for Reverend Theodore Hale, 78, will be 1:00 p.m. on Thursday, May 28, 2019 at Word of Truth Ministries. Evangelist James Wood is the pastor. Evangelist Grace Wood is the eulogist. Interment will be in the Lineville Community Cemetery. Reverend Hall will lie in state at the church one hour prior to the service.

Reverend Theodore Alexander Hale was born to on November 10, 1940to the union of Carl Hale, Sr. and Daily Mae McCary Barnes in Dayton, Ohio. 

Reverend Hale united with Bethel Missionary Baptist Church before being called into the ministry. He served as pastor of Mt Sinai Missionary Baptist Church in Alpine, Alabama, Flint Hill Missionary Baptist Church in Micaville, Alabama and lastly a co-pastor and Word of Truth Ministries.  He was a graduate of Carver High School in Dayton, Ohio. He and the former Pauline Lindsey united in holy matrimony on December 24, 1967 and relocated to Alabama in the early 1970s. He was employed with the Ace Company for many years. 

On morning of Friday, May 24, 2019, Theodore traded time for eternity while he was a patient at Clay County Nursing Home. He was preceded in passing by his wife, Pauline Hale; parents, Carl Hale Sr. and Daily Mae (Reverend Morris) Barnes; four siblings, James Barnes, Carl Hale, Jr., Nina Jean Barnes and Eddy McCary; and a special uncle Charles McCary.

Reverend Hale leaves to cherish his memories: three daughters, Shirleeta (Anthony) Davis and Della (Albert) Garrett of Lineville, Alabama and Yolanda Hale of Dayton, Ohio; two sons, Theodore (Saundra) Hale of Manassas, Virginia and Antoine (Monica) Hale of Lineville, Alabama; eleven grandchildren and six great grandchildren; five siblings, Edwin Barnes, Donald Barnes, Ada Staten, Pamela Hale (Harold) Macon and Carol Hale Kenny; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
