Minister Elmore P. Scott 70 of Farrell Pa. departed this life surrounded by his loving family May 3, 2019.
Affectionally called “Pete” by his family and friends was born March 23rd 1949 in Chesterfield County, Cheraw,SC, to the late Streater and Bessie (Sellers) Scott. Minister Elmore attended Farrell area Schools and joined the US Military in 1969, he received a honorable discharge from the Army.
Minister Elmore worked for Valley Forge as a welder for over 30 yrs. Worked at Cooper-Bessener as a chipper. He left work for Camp Bucco, Boy Scouts of America as their head Chef. Pete received numerious acolades for his Southern Style Cooking. Pete always spoke highly of his mother, he said “she inspired his passion for cooking and good food.”
Minister Elmore was an advid fisherman, Pete enjoyed taking his family boating and a day of fishing. Pete enjoyed teaching his neices/nephews to enjoy his passion for fishing. It was his favorite pastime activity.
Min. Elmorne married his beloved  the former Min. Florence Kingin 1993. Shortly after Elmore gave his life to Christ. Pete enjoyed singing with his family and was a former member of the male gospel group Gospel Change. A former member of Greater Pentecostal House of Prayer, under the leardership of Pastor Rev. Jackie Banks & Co-Pastor Rev. Letitia Banks, It was here he grew spiritually and eventally became a Minister of the Gospel. Min. Elmore and family later joined with New Life Covenant Church, in Sharon under the leadership of Apostle Rev. Patricia Tatum, Pastor, as they continued to grow in the Lord.
He leaves to cherish his memory his beloved wife of 25 years, daughters: FalonaGavins(Carlos), Sharon Pa. Javonda Harrison (Mike)Sharpsville, Trevor King (Regina), John C. Green (Jody), Wayne Green (Jean), Minister Laneka Green, DeMaun Green, Rashaad “duke” Phillips and Hezekiah King at home. 
Min. Elmore and Min. Florence also loved being foster-parents to Vernon Hawkins, Michael Cannon, Issac Green and Thomas Cuthbert. They always tried to instill in them that this was their home.
Min. Elmore leaves his Sibling “The Great 8” Streater (Beanie)Scott Jr, Sis. Paula Hampton, Sis. Geri Smith, Rev. Letitia Banks, Evang. Peggy Scott-Styles, Sis Carrie Scott and Vernon Scott Sr.

    We're sorry to hear about your recent loss. Accept our sincere condolences. May you find strength from the words of Philippians 4:13 which says: "For all things I have the strength through the one who gives me power." What a loving God who cares about each one of us. He didn't intend for us to grow old and die. He thus has made the SURE promise of a resurrection right here on earth when it is restored to a beautiful paradise (Psalms 37:9-11, 29; Acts 24:15; Isaiah 55;11).
