Although my heart aches for the family we know the God we serve is still a GREAT GOD. I will miss seeing Ms. Gwen at work because she kept folks in check around there (even me...lol). I saw Ms. Gwen on Tuesday before her passing and she was still talking smack. The last thing I said to her was, "see you in the morning". Only God knew that her morning would be different and that her earthly work was done. She will be greatly missed. RIP Ms. Gwen heaven has truly gained an angel.

I’m sorry for your loss. Please know that others care and pray that you gain comfort strength and peace. It’s in times like these that family and friends are appreciated for extended arms of love. Saying goodbye is never easy. Christ too wept when his friend fell asleep in death, John 11:35. John 5:28,29 . He has extended that same promise to reunite us with our loved ones

I want to send my deepest sympathy to the family of Gwendolyn Garrett. Recently, I found comfort from the scriptures to cope with the grief of losing a loved one in death. The bible tells us we can gain comfort from God, even during times of sorrow. We can pray to our heavenly father for help to cope with the sorrow felt from the death of a loved one. By prayer and supplication, let your petitions be made known to God; and the peace of God that surpasses all understanding will guard your hearts and your mental powers by means of Christ Jesus. Philippians 4:6 The bible also promises that God “will wipe out every tear from [our] eyes, and death will be no more, neither will mourning nor outcry nor pain be anymore.” (Revelation 21:4) How comforting and reassuring that is! May you find comfort by relying on our heavenly father and learning more about the blessings of God's kingdom. You are in my thoughts and prayers during this difficult time.

To the family and friends: please, accept our sincere condolences for the loss of your loved one. You can find comfort in the Bible account found at John 11; Jesus said to her: “Your brother will rise.” Martha said to him: “I know he will rise in the resurrection on the last day.” Jesus said to her: “I am the resurrection and the life. The one who exercises faith in me, even though he dies, will come to life". Please find more information about this beautiful promise at jw.org.
