Mr. Arthur Parker Jr. entered into the sunrise of life on Saturday, May 11, 1940.  He was the son of the late Mr. Arthur & Mrs. Margaret Howard Parker.  He attended school in Alachua county in his early years, then his family moved to Hastings, Florida where he continued his education.  While living in Hastings, Arthur met and married Mrs. Mary Maude Hudson Parker daughter of the late Elder Smith & Deaconess Gladys Hudson. Arthur & Mary celebrated in January their 60th wedding anniversary, a union joined on January 25, 1959.

Arthur loved his wife, children, and his family.  He was a hardworking man that provided for his family.  He did farm work and loved doing it.  He enjoyed driving farm equipment and his Ford 150 pickup truck.  He was a true FORD man.  Arthur was a man of few words and everybody knew what that meant.

Mr. Arthur Parker Jr. entered into sunset of life on May 2, 2019.  He is proceeded in death by his parents, Mr. Arthur & Mrs. Margaret Howard Parker; three brothers, Mr. Tommy Weston, Mr. Jim Parker, and Mr. John Dee Parker; four sisters, Mrs. Mary Robinson, Mrs. Irene Whitfield, Mrs. Betty Mae Coleman, and Mrs. Gladys Whitfield.

He leaves to cherish his precious memories his loving and devoted wife, Mrs. Mary Parker; four daughters, Mrs. Michele (Vollie) Gavin, Mrs. Rosetta Crumpton, Ms. Tracy Parker, Mrs. Wanda (David) Manning; five sons, Mr. Arthur (Trudy) Parker III, Mr. James Parker, Mr. Ray (Melissa) Parker, Mr. Aurdy Parker, Mr. Kevin Parker; a special daughter, Mrs. Angela Whitehurst; brother, Mr. Oscar (Velma) Parker; sister, Ms. Doris Parker; brother-in-law, Mr. Elijah Hudson; sister-in-law, Rev. Dr. Lizzie Simmons; 37 grandchildren, 46 great-grandchildren, 6 great-great grandchildren, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and devoted friends.

    To the family and friends: please, accept our sincere condolences in your recent loss. May you find some comfort in the words of Psalms 34:18 which reads: " Jehovah is close to the brokenhearted; He saves those who are crushed in spirit " Yes, we can ask for help and rely on God. He also has made the sure promise of a resurrection right here on earth when it is restored to a beautiful paradise.  (Acts 24:15; Psalms 37:9-11, 29). Be confident that this is SURE to happen because Isaiah 55:11 ensures us of this.
