Mr. Jimmy Ralph Cornell Morrison was born April 7, 1941 to Ethel Gyrene Morriso in Robbins, North Carolina. He departed this life on April 29, 2019; shortly after celebrating his 78th birthday.

Jimmy was reared and educated in Robbins before traveling on to Florida and many other places. He settled in High Point, North Carolina and married Mary Retus Wesley. Jimmy and Mary had three children and she preceded him in death. Jimmy later met a special friend Edna McLeod who also preceded him in death.

Jimmy was a very skillful man and had work experience in trucking, security, and manufacturing. He received many work-related honors throughout the years as he took pride in every position he held. He worked for Marsh Furniture Company for over 25 years but retired from Builder’s 1st Source. Jimmy was a very friendly man and socializing was one of his favorite past times. No matter where he went, he went  with his trademark cigar, he managed to find someone he knew. He was affectionately known to friends as “Cigar Jimmy” and Ralph by family. He was an avid Nascar, Steelers and NC State fan.

Jimmy had no specific church affiliation but had a strong sense of faith.

We don't know what to say except that we love you. We can't understand exactly how you feel, but Jehovah does and will keep raising you up. We hope that our prayers will help a little. God has resurrected humans in the past. The Bible reports eight instances of humans-young, old, male, and female-who were brought back to life on earth. Some had been dead for a short while. but one had been in a tomb for four days!-John 11:39-44. Those details are recorded in God's word the Bible. You can visit our website at

We're so sorry to hear you are suffering the loss of your dear loved one. May you find strength and some comfort in the words found in Psalms 9:9, which reads: “Jehovah will become a secure refuge for the oppressed, A secure refuge in times of distress.” Our loving God cares about us and is ready to bring us comfort if we allow him (1John 5:14). He also has made the provision of a resurrection RIGHT HERE ON EARTH when it is restored into a beautiful paradise (Acts 24:15; Isaiah 55:11). Can you see yourself welcoming back to life your dear loved one? Find out more about this resurrection online at JW.ORG

God cares for the brokenhearted; Psalm 34:18 assures us that he is close to them. Psalm 147:3 says: "He heals the brokenhearted; He binds up their wounds." God strengthens us by giving us "the power beyond what is normal" to male it through each passing day. Isaiah 12:2 assures us that God is our "strength" and our "might." Please accept my sincere condolences. Always remember God loves you and he cares for you! (Psalm 36:7; 1 Peter 5:7)
