Mr. Johnny C. Hawthorne, 73,  of Silver Creek, Mississippi passed away on Wednesday, April 24, 2019 at his residence.  He is the son of the late Irene Hawthorne.  He was a member of Pen Oak M. B. Church where he served as Trustee. 

He retired from Sanderson Farms after working in Maintenance for many years.  He loved gardening, being outside, fellowship with family and friends. 

Funeral services are scheduled for Saturday, May 4, 2019 at Pen Oak M. B. Church, Silver Creek, Mississippi at 2pm.  Interment will be in the church cemetery.

He is survived by: wife, Beatrice Hawthorne of Silver Creek, MS; mother, Irene Fairley of Collins, MS; sons, Johnny Hawthorn, Jr. of Collins, MS and Rodney Hawthorne of Jackson, MS; daughters, Sandra Washington of San Diego, CA, Sonya Hawthorne of Gulfport, MS and Stacey Washington of Silver Creek, MS; brothers, Preston Williams of Collins, MS, Charles Williams of Colorado Springs, CO and Willie E. Fairley of Collins, MS; sister, Joyce Fairley of Collins, MS; grandchildren: 24

Visitation will be Friday, May 3, 2019 at Johnson Funeral Home, 1-8pm and Saturday at the church, 1-2pm.
