On Thursday morning, April 18, 2019 William Mangrum Booker, Jr. was called home to be with the Lord. William was born in Franklin, Tennessee on March 1, 1952 to the late William Mangrum and Annie Louise (Ewing-Prince) Booker, Sr.

William leaves to cherish his memory: Loving wife Velva Knox; son, William Dontae Booker of Moses Lake WA, Four Grandchildren and one Great Grandson; Sisters, Yuvonne (Bill) Joslin, Harriette (John) Dorse; Brother; Thomas A. Booker of Nashville, TN; Sister’s-in-law: Eliza Phillips of Moscow, TN, Bobbie Knox and Belinda (Steven) Gunn of Memphis, TN, Ethel (Clyde) Henderson of Rossville, TN., Gertie (Micheal) Coley of Irvine, CA and Angelius Knox (Curt Robinson) of Vallejo, CA and a host of nieces, nephews and cousins.

Mr. Booker will lie in state on Friday, April 26, 2019 from 10 until 5 at the funeral home.

Visitation with family Saturday, April 27, 2019 from 11 until 12 at Pleasant Valley Primitive Baptist Church, 604 Mt. Hope Street with funeral to follow. Reverend William Joslin officiating. Interment Mt. Hope Cemetery.

Your passing leaves a void that only you can fill – yet, we know that you could not stay. We embrace our dear Jean (aka, Velva) and Dontae, as we share in their sadness.
