Raymond J. L. Nadeau, 83, a resident of Elephant Butte, NM, died at his home on Friday, April 19, 2019, surrounded by family.  He was born on January 20, 1936 in Chicopee, Massachusetts to Wilfred and Laura (Martinbault) Nadeau.  Mr. Nadeau was an atomic weapons specialist in the U. S. Army.  He later became an Electronic Sale and Service Representative and retired in 1991.  He was a resident of Elephant Butte for 20 years after relocating from Bosque Farms, NM.  His hobbies included: boating, computers, fishing, hunting, cooking and sitting on the beach with friends.  He was also a lifetime member of the Albuquerque Boat Club.  Survivors include his wife of 60 years, Kay Helen Nadeau; children – Lisa K. Armijo and husband, Carlos P. Armijo and William R. Nadeau and wife, JoAnne Nadeau; brother, Leo Nadeau and wife, Evelyn Nadeau; and numerous nieces and nephews.  He was preceded in death by his parents, Wilfred and Laura Nadeau; brother, Wilfred Nadeau; and sisters – Gloria Coté and Theresa Melchi.  Mr. Nadeau’s family would like to thank Ambercare for their excellent care and support during such a difficult time.  Cremation will take place and a Graveside Service will be held on Friday, April 26, 2019, at 4:30 P.M. at Vista Memory Gardens Cemetery with Military Honors.
