Odell, Weldon, Sharron, Roger, and baby Sis, my deepest condolences to you all at the homegoing of Lewis who has always been the glue that kept this family together. You all have great memories of his laughter, his wisdom, and his many acts of love, and I pray that you hold tight to them right now. Jennifer, you were always his pride and joy and he was very proud of the woman you became. I loved him deeply as another brother in my life, and I too will miss him much. May God's peace and comfort fill all of our hearts in this sorrowful time.

We don't know what to say except that we love you. We can't understand exactly how you feel, but Jehovah does and will keep raising you up. We hope that our prayers will help a little. God has resurrected humans in the past. The Bible reports eight instances of humans-young, old, male, and female-who were brought back to life on earth. Some had been dead for a short while, but one had been in a tomb for four days!- John 11:39-44. You can read about this account as well as other accounts of humans being resurrected in the past by visiting our website

We're so sorry to hear you are suffering the loss of your dear loved one. May you find strength and some comfort in the words found in Psalms 9:9, which reads: “Jehovah will become a secure refuge for the oppressed, A secure refuge in times of distress.” Our loving God cares about us and is ready to bring us comfort if we allow him (1John 5:14). He also has made the provision of a resurrection RIGHT HERE ON EARTH when it is restored into a beautiful paradise (Acts 24:15; Isaiah 55:11). Can you see yourself welcoming back to life your dear loved one? Find out more about this resurrection online at JW.ORG

God will sustain you with his "right hand of righteousness" during this difficult time and through each passing day. Isaiah 41:10 says:..."I am with you. Do not be anxious, for I am your God. I will fortify you, yes, I will help you, I will really hold on to you with my right hand of righteousness." Isaiah 41:13; I "am grasping your right hand, the One [God] saying to you,...'I will help you.'" Please accept my sincere condolences. Always remember God loves you and he cares for you! (Psalm 36:7; 1 Peter 5:7)
