Mrs. Mable Ethel Weathersby, 75, of Jackson, Mississippi passed away on Wednesday, March 20, 2019 at her residence.  She is the daughter of Mr. Edgar Lee Jackson and the late Ethel M. Jackson.  She was a member of Oak Grove M. B. Church, New Hebron, MS.

She was a retired private Certified Nurse Assistant.  She loved shopping, reading, dancing, traveling and fellowship with family and friends.

Funeral services are scheduled for Saturday, March 23, 2019 at Redeemer Church, 640 E. Northside Drive, Jackson, Mississippi at 12 noon.  Interment will be in Oak Grove M. B. Church, New Hebron, MS.

She is survived by: sons, Jafus Jackson of Prentiss, MS, Bobby Weathersby, Jr. of Byram, MS, Mikell Weathersby of Hampton, GA and Erick Weathersby of Jackson, MS; daughter, Felecia Marshall of Terry, MS; brother, Willie Jackson of Chicago, IL; sisters, Edna Davis of Prentiss, MS and Classie Chaney of Mendenhall, MS; grandchildren; 19; great-grandchildren: 11

Visitation will be Friday, March 22, 2019 at Johnson Funeral Home, 1-8pm and Saturday at the church, 11-12 noon.

    We're so sorry to hear you are mourning the recent loss of your loved one. May you find strength and comfort from the words of Psalms 46:1 which reads: "God is our refuge and strength, A help that is readily found in times of distress." Our loving God is there for us if we ask for his help (1 John 5:14). He didn't intend for us to grow old and die. He thus has made the SURE promise of a resurrection RIGHT HERE ON EARTH when it is restored to a beautiful paradise (Psalms 37:9-11, 29; Acts 24:15; Isaiah 55;11).
